- A “paint gun” outline is applied directly on the turf or natural area. This service is available to our clients at no additional charge when it is combined with a quote/estimate for plant installation service.
Planting of Shrubbery, Trees, Flowers:
Plant installation is a popular way to enhance the beauty of your landscape. It can include planting of annuals, shrubbery, trees, or ornamental grasses in many combinations.
Lewey Landscaping & LawnCare, Inc. has over thirty years in the landscaping business and provides expertise in proper plant installation regarding sunlight, shade, placement, and beauty.
Planting is most effective in cooler weather to allow plant material to take root without having to water as much as in the heat of the summer. Field trees may not be available for digging in the summer. Best times to plant are in the spring before it reaches 90 degrees, and in the fall before the ground freezes.

Sod Installation Services and Options:
If you have difficulties with grass growth, our company can make recommendations based on visual inspection and water availability. Sod may be an option for your home or business. There are many types of turf available. How do you know which is right for you? We will help you select the sod type that will thrive based on the natural lighting, care requirements, and personal preferences.
- Cool season sod in the Triangle is typically Fescue and should be planted in cooler weather or have the availability of irrigation or soaker hoses
- Warm season sod may include Bermuda, Zoysia, or Centipede and Lewey Landscaping & LawnCare recommends that it be planted when the turf is green for best root growth. Warm season sod will be dormant (or turn brown) in the fall and winter after the first killing frost. For client properties with new grass, you may elect to overseed with rye after September and install sod in the spring if you prefer warm season turf.
- Sod installation includes proper ground preparation, lime, and starter fertilizer prior to laying the sod.
- Sod is guaranteed through the installation process. Instructions are provided for proper watering and care for all clients.
Stack Stone Walls - Upscale, Functional and Timeless:
Enhance the beauty of your home or business landscape by adding a stone stack wall. Using your selection of stone, Lewey Landscaping & LawnCare, Inc, will custom design, build, and install your stone wall. Co-owner, Mike Lewey, will be on-site to personally supervise the installation.
Stack stone walls contribute lasting and functional structures that can be used to:
- Border prominent trees that you would like to feature
- Highlight and protect shrubbery beds
- Provide social seating and gathering areas
- Support for tiered landscape designs
- Level slopes in your land
Commercial clients can also employ stone stack walls:
- To provide designated smoking areas
- As an upscale background to business signs
Provide a beautiful backdrop for your home and landscape design through the installation of outdoor landscape lighting. Many lighting fixture styles are available and will operate off your existing electrical units.
All lighting is custom installed to fit the client's requirements for dramatic effect. The fall and winter are a great time to install ornamental landscape lighting as the sun sets much earlier and it showcases your home to family and friends.
Drainage solutions do not offer the natural beauty the client may receive from other landscaping projects, but offer tremendous relief when water issues, like standing water, can be corrected through proper diversion.
Trenching, French Drains, and Retaining Walls are a few solutions possible for diverting or redirecting water flow. Lewey Landscaping & LawnCare has over 30 years experience working with drainage concerns.
